Tel Aviv, February 4, 2002 – BIS, developer of advanced systems communication technologies, and Malam Systems, one of Israels leading system integrators and software developers, today announced the list of governmental organizations that will benefit from the integration of InterEST™ into Malams payroll and human resources systems.
InterEST™ is an enterprise application integration solution that enables comprehensive information exchange across all enterprise systems. It enables users to access applications anywhere in the network using a web browser, without installing any additional software at the users workstations, and without changing any corporate infrastructure. InterEST™ effectively eliminates the lengthy process and high costs of transforming and integrating enterprise applications into GUI screens.
As previously announced, Malam chose BIS InterEST™ system to provide its enterprise customers with a convenient and highly reliable solution for converting real-time payroll and human resources systems residing on mainframe systems into a friendly Windows environment. InterEST™ offers Malam customers the ability to: perform real-time updates on over 1,000 payroll screens; use a state-of-the-art GUI interface that allows for menu and color scheme adjustments, as well as adding icons and toolbars; and, benefit from simplified navigation by replacing old monitors and green screen emulation with a browser based interface.
During 2002, Malam will incorporate InterEST™s capabilities into the payroll systems of many of its largest customers, including the Israeli governments Police, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Tourism, Environmental Protection Office, Office of the Prime Minister, the Customs Authority, the Securities Authorities, the Courts Management Authority, and more.
Naomi Amar, Director of Payroll Systems at Malam Systems commented, "Because of its advanced capabilities, InterEST™ was the most up-to-date solution for satisfying our customers real time needs. Existing customers believe that receiving a completely new system, and the attractive graphic interface is a key issue in attracting new customers. From our perspective, we know we can rely on BIS to help us solve any bumps in the road, and that InterEST™s ability to connect to the Internet and other systems would ultimately help facilitate our sectors entrance into the e-Business arena."
Following Malam Systems announcement of intended customers, Moti Miron, CEO of BIS, remarked that "Malam Systems intention to integrate InterEST™ into most of its deployed payroll systems is a testament to the quality and value of this technology." He further added that "It is especially gratifying to receive such a vote of confidence from one of Israels largest system integrators and software houses."
