BIS to Participate in Israeli - Italian Hi-Tech Conference in Milan
November 2001
November 2001 - BIS Advanced Software Systems will be participating in the Israeli- Italian Hi-tech event in Cento Congressi Milanofiori Milan, Italy, November 19-20, 2001. This event will mark BIS’ opening of its marketing channels in Italy, where BIS will present its new QBU - Online QuickBackUp solution and meet with potential partners for joint ventures. On the opening day BIS will be presenting QBU before all of the event participants, including specifically selected leading Italian ASPs and ISPs. Potential partners will have the opportunity to shape the products evolution which will help them to better satisfy their customers needs.

Over the past several months BIS has engaged a number of the leading ASPs in various European countries in its Pilot Program. As a part of BIS’s efforts to invigorate marketing activities, the company has met with European ASPs with the goal of building alliances. Several ASPs have participated in the QBU Pilot Program and have expressed their satisfaction with QBU as a backup service that they can provide to their corporate customers. In countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Italy BIS is anticipating to see QBU as a service offered through their ASP partners starting in the first quarter of 2002.

QBU Highlights:
The growth of mobile and remote workforces has created a tremendous need for highly reliable solutions for automating the management of mobile data. This is especially true since it is impractical to rely on end-users to independently perform complicated backup tasks or lengthy software downloads on a regular basis. QBU™ delivers a cost effective solution for protecting, updating and accessing corporate data on a regular basis.

Global Data Availability
End users at any location worldwide can securely restore data that has been backed up. QBU allows the client to browse through data from a single centralized location, and restore an entire backup job or selectively restore certain files remotely. Once the files have been selected, QBU seamlessly reconstructs the files and transfers them to the original location or to a new one that the client specifies.

An intuitive interface guides the user through a brief backup process, and helps set parameters for one-click restorations. Designed for ease of use, certain types of files in a folder can be backed up with a quick selection just like speed dialing provides access to a specific number. An online browsing feature allows subscribers to view all saved backup jobs in one centralized and convenient location for easy management.
